Ideas
When me (Hayley), Rachel and Miranda were in town the other day taking photos we found that the most trendy poeople that stood most out were young boys around the age of 15 to 17. They looked cool and bright.
We noticed majority of boys were wering Nike high trainers/Dunks.
Which were bright colours majority being red or Prodomiately red. Which instantly drew connections to the Kickers hi patent red boots, maybe we should aim for someone of this age, as they are influencuial, as if the cool kid at school has a pair everyone follows. We found about 6 amazing dressed boys, rachel has got the photos we will upload them.
We were thinking of putting people into catogroies such as 'boatshoe boys' 'nike dunks' 'emos' 'Jack Wills crew' kinda thing, then choose our 3people from the different groups.

kate has taken the info for most of them. i will ring and tell you which sound best. may be good to picture my neighbour who is in a band and older. the last photo is one of my flatmates, goes to raves, does furniture design but the photo is rubbish. will edit this post at a later date of course. just wanted them on asap. xxx

More opinion formers
Miranda, Hayley and I found on our outtings that just by looking at the trends around us we were already catergorising people. We thought it would be a really good idea to have an opinion former who is a kid, heres two of them we found:

and.. Heres our very own Hayley. Hayley knows all the DJ's and band movement around the midlands- a connector maybe? and we think she would be great as an opinion former for our project, plus we know we'll get the feedback.

Kickers opinion Former
Ok so weve established the essence of kickers, they are a quirky and bit left field brand. Kickers plays strongly on their history with defining musicans throughout different eras, suchas Roger Doltry from The Who wearing the Kick-Hi boot. They also collaborate with many labels including powerbrand Lego, which is helping to breath colour, creativity and life back into the Kick-Hi product. Yet this is aimed at young kids; Kickers is aiming at a large demographic. They use this history to help define their personality, now they need an opinion former to put them back on the map again, but this person has to be someone they understand, we dont want to alienate kickers from their new target consumers.
Miranda, Hayley and I all went round Nottingham searching for potential opinion formers to wear and promote the Kick-Hi boot. We looked for Mavens and Connectors- going by their clothing and where abouts they were we formed an opinion about them and then engaged conversation with them to find out a little more. We got 5 consent forms - all of which are very keen to help out with our project and seem just right for kickers and our chosen typology! Im now going to email our selected 3 to ask some general questions and to find out a little more about them to help us out when writing their pen profiles. Below is our favourite potentials we pulled:
Georgina. works in american apparel. couldnt take photo because was in shop, but is sending one.
Wants leather quilted boots. her fav shoe brands are converse and vans

Consent form= yes. strong candidate for opinion former.
Was very interested, her bf done a project on Kickers and produced the videos of boot running around .
Wants shiny gold boots

Consent form= yes. strong candidate- we think she'll be great for it.
Her friend got Kickers last week!

One thing to note- Everyone we asked how do you perceive kickers they said- we think of school. We need to change this!
